Rudy FELL (Formal: Rudolf) (Middle Name: Paul). Age 81. Born December 23, 1927. Died February 2, 2009, Candlemass. Beloved husband of Barbara. Dearest father of Nykkolas Rudolf Fell (Krystl Chamber) and Anne Josephson (Michael). Loving grandfather of Samara, Abrielle, Carissa and Mataya Nicole; step grandfather of Justin. Dear brother of Loretta Wolfington. Dear uncle of Ivan James Wolfington, Christa Cousineau and Vickie Gardner. Dearest brother in law to Elizabeth Fleming, Zachary the Cat, and sister of mother in law: Hilda Grace McPherson. Cousin in law to Pat and Ray Arceneaux. Rudy was born in Cleaveland, OH. He was the son of Rudolf Fell (Senior) and Adolfine (Gokorsch) who came here from Sudetenland in the late nineteen teens. His father was in the Austrian/Hungarian Army in WW I and his grandfather (Fell) was head of city council in Bautsch of which there is still a monument erected of him. Rudy’s love of water drew him to join the Coast Guard when he was sixteen and sail the Great Lakes. A WW II Marine Veteran and a Letter Carrier for over 30 years he also held office in the Woodmen of the World and the Holy Name Society. A member of YMCA for over 40 yrs., he loved swimming. He also drove the book mobile and was a fireman at Crile Hospital and had 75 jobs before settling upon the Post Office. Community minded, he was a yearly elections worker and a city league baseball coach and prayed at the Incarnate Word shrine everyday as well as belonging to St. John Bosco in Parma Hts., St. Peter the Apostle in Brookpark and Timber Ridge. A news, information and Word Search fanatic he played Hawaiian steel guitar and loved classical/opera, polka, 70′s rock, German and 40′s music. He enjoyed James Cagney movies, the Marx Bros., U.F.O.’s and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers, Indians, Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. An animal lover, he would feed the local wildlife everyday and like his wife Barbara also inspired the creation of an online character with his name.
