We are so saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. I have the fondest memories of Bob, Grace, and the entire family at the Pleasant Hill Lake cottages. And of course, the last day water fight. I will remember Bob as always having a smile on his face, and very happy to see you … just a truly wonderful man. My deepest sympathies to Grace, Bobby, Kathy, Denny, Mary and Rosie. My parents and their friends are all family to me. I wish I could be in Ohio, but my prayers and thoughts are all for you. I know that my father, Jake, has another buddy to go golfing and fishing with now. I’ll raise my glass to the them both tonight.

Dear Kane family….Our deepest condolences go out to your whole family on the loss of a kind gent. The connection of Bob & Grace with our family goes back a long way and we know the pain that you are going through. I will remember his sense of humor his kindness and his decency and in being such a good friend to my folks throughout the years. I also remember the fun that we had at Pleasant Hill Lake and all of the gatherings with my folks. My wife & I still have the Browns hoodies that Grace & Bob gave us many years ago. Unfortunately we will not be able to be with you in Ohio but we will be with you in spirit. May the comfort of God be with all of you at this time.

Deepest sympathy of the passing of Robert J. Kane, brother
of Rev. Eugene Kane. Viewing the photo of Mr. Robert J. Kane
in today’s Plain Dealer brought back fond memories of Rev.
Eugene Kane, the smile and resemblance is unmistakable.
Rev. Eugene Kane was my high school religious educator at
the then Nazareth Academy. Acquiring a position at the
Department of Veteran Affairs cross paths once again with
Rev. Eugene Kane, tall in stature always with the smile
just like Mr. Robert J. Kane. Rev. Eugene Kane would often
speak of his loving family. Once again my deepest sympathy
and prayers to your family.

Though Bob and Grace had been here at Tamberlane but for a short 2 yrs, during the winter season; neighbors, Mary & Arthur, Vickie, & Doris came to know and appreciate them as our neighbors and to share some happy times with the family…

We will miss Bob but know that Grace and her family are a strong loving and christian family and will always have their father in their hearts…and share his love…
