I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family and to so many people in the diocese of Cleveland who knew and worked with Julie. I worked in the Parish Life Secretariat and all of us had a very special relationship with Julie, an absolutely fun and delightful relationship. I will never forget our lunches together and parties and getting the kielbasa and hot dogs ready with Julie. We would laugh so hard and tease each other mercifully. But there was a serious, deeply committed side to Julie as she ministered in the Office of the Propagation of the Faith. She did so much to enable the missionaries to be about the Preaching of the Gospel.
I so wish I could physically be present with all of you but my spirit is there and certainly my prayers are constant for all of us who mourn her loss.

Dear fekete Family,
I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I have found to be of great comfort is what the Bible says at John 5:28,29 And Psams 37:11,29. In these verses we see that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones and that all those good in his eyes will live forever on a paradise earth in oeace. it is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family. Again I am so sorry for your loss.

I knew Julie when she worked for Bishop Sheldon at the Mission Office, and I admired her greatly. I saw her at a gathering for Bishop Sheldon, and she was still the same fun-loving and wonderful woman. She worked hard at her job and was excellent at it, touching many hearts and souls both here in Cleveland as well as in many distant places like El Salvador. May she rest in peace and may the family and her friends remember her fondly as I do.

As a former member of CLAM I want to express my sincerest sympathy to Julie’s family. Julie was a wonderful woman who always served with a spirit of joy. She helped each missioner to adjust to life in El Salvador. She always was willing to “go the extra mile” in her care for us and our families. I will be praying for you here in Cambodia.
