KOONS, Linda L. H.

Linda Louise Humphries KOONS, age 63, passed away December 29, 2020 in Westlake, OH following a brief illness. Linda was born June 20, 1957 in Warren, OH, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Tolliver) Humphries. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1976. She served 6 years in the United States Navy achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. She was a graduate of Salve Regina University’s nursing program and her career as an RN spanned nearly 20 years. She retired from Southwest General Hospital in 2011. Linda raised her family in Medina, OH and spent her final years in North Ridgeville, OH. Her joys in life were spending time with her mother, knitting, gardening, fishing, genealogical research and history, going on adventures by car, her pets, and her friends and family. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Greg (Sally) Humphries, her children Louise (Andrew) DiLullo and Charles Benjamin (Megan) Koons, and grandchildren Fiona and Julian DiLullo, and Emerson and Owen Koons. Linda was a beloved daughter, mother, mamaw, and friend to many and she will be deeply missed. 

Private graveside services will be held where Linda will be laid to rest alongside her parents at Floral Hills Cemetery in Sissonville, WV on January 6, 2021.

    My heart felt condolence for Linda’s family. She was my first friend. We grew up together two houses apart. I’m glad I was able to reach out to reach out to each other lately after loosing touch. May you fly with the angels.

    Linda was a beloved neighbor when I was growing up. She used to babysit me. I remember her kindness and sense of fun. She will be sadly missed. Much sympathy to her family and friends.
