Condolence from Lori Anne Shafer on December 27th, 2021 3:50 pm

Our condolences to the family at this most difficult time. We have very fond memories of Jon from when the boys played hockey together. Our son Ian and Jon met when they were 4 yrs old and had a friendship for years. They were born one day apart and instantly became friends.Because of them we all became friends and shared many adventures together. Time and distance has kept us separated but we will never forget the happy times we all shared. May God Bless you all and help you to heal.
Sent with love from The Shafer family

Condolence from Lori Anne Shafer on December 28th, 2021 6:20 am

Our deepest sympathy to Jon’s family at this difficult time. Jon and our son Ian met when they were 4 or 5 years old and remained friends for years. Time and distance has separated them but their friendship remained. We have many fond memories of the boys on the ice and traveling together for over 10 years. Because of them and hockey, we all became friends. Jon was loved by so many people and has left a positive impact. We continue to pray for Jon and his family as God embraces him in His holy kingdom.
With saddened hearts from The Shafer family
Jerry, Lori, Sarah and Ian

Condolence from Deanne M Sandly on December 29th, 2021 8:16 am

Our most heartfelt sympathy to all of Jon’s family. I was deeply saddened to hear of Jon’s passing. I just met Jon this past summer when he did plumbing work for us. I liked him immediately…. A very down to earth, warm and kind young man…. But knowing his brother George, it was not surprising that Jon was so kind and gentle. There are few words of comfort in a loss such as this but know that you are in the hearts and prayers of all who knew Jon. May God bring you comfort and peace through the love and memories you hold dear in your heart.

With sympathy,

Deanne and Paul Sandly

There are no words can bring comfort or settle the heart in the loss of a child. Your family will remain in my prayers, and I hope you will be able to keep him close to your hearts and always honor his memory and live so that his memory stays alive in your thoughts and your actions.

I just wanted to reach out and send my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jon.I worked with Jon at the C.O.B and unfortunately came down with a positive test so wasn’t able to make any visitations but couldn’t just tell my work people how bad I feel for you all.I wanted you to know how well of a job you did raising your son.I’m sure you have some stories that weren’t so great but what kid doesn’t.The matter is he learned from them and would help so many of us out if needed.Whenever someone was doing a home remodeling project I think Jon got involved wether he really wanted to or not, he wouldn’t say no as far as I have heard. I mean that guy loved his Daisy even though she chewed how many couches. I was like man, I think you might have to get rid of furniture or the dog. His reply nope neither, and that is what made Jon special, he wouldn’t give up on that dog and he wouldn’t give up at the end either…May we all take some of that strength and use it going forward, I pray you can find some comfort in these difficult times..I just wanted family to know how it was working with him and a little story or what I remember most.A great co worker and friend, till we meet again my friend, love you man. Ed Kowalewski and family
