Alexander J. Hays, age 31, was born in Memphis, TN, to parents Kim and Steve Hays and resided in Broadview Hts., OH. Alex attended Brecksville-Broadview Hts. Schools. He was an honor student, participated in travel baseball, and was a Brecksville varsity football player. He was on the homecoming court his senior year and graduated in 2008. Alex was awarded an academic scholarship to Miami University in Oxford, OH. He attended Miami University and Kent State University and was most recently employed at Group Management Services where he was respected and loved. Throughout his lifetime, Alex enjoyed times with his family at Lake Chautauqua, NY, where he was an accomplished snow skier, snow boarder, water skier, avid boater and jet-skier. He relished his personal time on the dock fishing with his brother Spencer. Additionally, Alex was a role model and best friend to Spencer who revered Alex with high esteem. Alex was a loving and caring beautiful man inside and out. He had a dynamic smile that matched his larger than life personality. Remembered by his brother Spencer, "He had no filter and spoke his mind whether it was popular or not!" Alex and Spencer spent the best times of their lives together as brothers and best friends. Over the past year plus he enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Sonja whether going on dates, hanging out with family or spending alone time together. They shared many joyful moments. Alex will forever be remembered by his large loving family, his friends and everyone who knew him. May God forever hold Alex in the palm of His loving hands.
Graveside services will be held April 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Shade Cemetery in Independence. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lantern Center for Recovery, 12160 Triskett Road, Cleveland, OH, 44111.
