It is time to celebrate the passing of the life of a man beloved by all who knew him…
ARTHUR D. LANG, Jr. (age 87), passed in peace to the arms of his Lord and Father on August 24th 2022 in the grateful presence of his loved ones. He was born July 1, 1935. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marlene M. Lang (née Marko), age 39 and their loving children: Arthur D. Lang III (Becky Rambo); Scott M. Lang (Kathy nee Austin); Daniel Lang (Lynn Vogel); Cindy Lang (Arnie); Todd Lang (Rhonda née Yatsko); Kelly Reynolds (Jerry); Amy Kwiatkowski (Robert); Sean Lang (Eunice Estoque); and grandchildren Kaitlin and Austin; Ben; Mason, Elliot, Audrey and Aiden; Jacob and Jordan; Carly, Meara, and Anna and great grandchildren; Adelyn and Zandon.
As a youngster, he was a gold glove boxer and fought the good fight to the end; including fighting to protect his kid brother in the schoolyard as a boy. Art loved his family and friends. He gave countless volunteer hours to the Elks and his church, St. Francis de Sales as Athletic Director, Holy Name Society President and member, and building the convent chapel among other projects including raising funds at the parish picnics and turkey festivals. He loved golf in his retirement years, but loved nothing better than being with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Father Arthur D. Lang and Mother Bridget Lang (née Mackin, Galway Ireland) his Sister Phyllis Swann and brother Big Bad Bob Lang. He will be powerfully missed but is being gently held in the palm of his Father's hands.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Monday, August 29, 10:00 AM, (corner of State and Snow Roads, Parma). Family will be greeted and Art's life celebrated with a wake at the Zabor Funeral Home 5680 Pearl Rd., Parma, Ohio 44129 on Sunday August 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Home.
