Carolyn Anne Cooper (born Nawalaniec), beloved wife of the late Vincent Cooper, passed away peacefully at the age of 83. A devoted mother to Terry, Susan Betts (Mark), Lauren MacDonald (Scott), and Kelly Winks (Scott), Carolyn was the heart of her family. Her grandchildren, Patrick (Helena), Anna (Tony Whittaker), Vince (Ursula Jongebloed), Michael Betts (Jen), Carianne Staudt (Matthew), Timothy Betts, Madison MacDonald (Mike Cason), Ian MacDonald (Stacey), Elizabeth Davis (Michael), and Benjamin Winks (Amber Thompson), along with her great-grandchildren, Caleb Betts, Martin, Francis, Laurence and Miriam Cooper, Gregory and Sarah Staudt, Michael, Nicholas and Charlotte Davis, Sean and Cora MacDonald, will forever cherish her memory.
Carolyn's life was a testament to her unwavering Catholic faith, which she nurtured as a devoted member of St. Bridget of Kildare Church. Her faith provided her with community, strength, and purpose, and she lived by the motto, "Love one another as I have loved you."
A lifelong friend to Marilyn Peffer, Carolyn's friendship was a source of joy and companionship since their kindergarten days. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her brother Robert Nawalaniec, Carolyn is survived by his wife, Marge, and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
A life-affirming celebration in her honor will be held this summer, where family and friends can gather to share memories and celebrate her life.
