PLEASE MEET THE FAMILY FOR A CELEBRATION OF LIFE at The Overlook Event Center, 5313 Hauserman Rd, Parma, OH 44130, Sunday, April 26th, 5pm-8pm.
Courtney attended Parma Senior High and Cuyahoga County Community College where she graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. She had a variety of jobs from being a baker, to working as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant in an eye center, to working in software.
She was deeply and overwhelmingly loved by her fiancé, Nic. They got engaged in Japan in October 2024 and had planned to get married on their 10th anniversary in September. They spent their years traveling and going to different animal sanctuaries and experiences around the world. They lived together in their home in North Olmsted, along with their cats, where every room and wall is full of murals she's done, decorations she’s made, or knick-knacks she's collected. Courtney and Nic never missed an opportunity to go out of their way to do something nice for each other and always acknowledged how incredibly fortunate they were to have found one another. They spent many nights building legos or painting while watching Adventure Time on the projector.
Courtney loved spending time with her family, whether that be eating tacos with her parents, celebrating every family member’s birthday at her grandparents’, or playing with her cousins at her Aunt Chalon & Uncle Eric’s house. She was a bright reflection of her parents, mirroring many of their actions and mannerisms every day. She had an immense amount of love for her grandmother Paula, who passed away days prior. She cherished her brother Ocean, who thought the world of Courtney, and took every opportunity to let anyone know he had the coolest sister in the world. She loved many pets throughout her life including her childhood cats Sonic, Peekaboo, Boo-Boo and Bonesy; as well as her dog, Scout, whom she has a matching portrait tattoo of with Mya. Her world revolved around Pierre and Momo. She had tattoos of them hula-hooping above each ankle.
In her free time she enjoyed reading, dancing and listening to K-pop (especially at events where her brother DJed), going to the Cleveland Zoo; where she always made a point to visit the tigers, kayaking, making lattes or crafting. She loved fashion and was always finding new cute outfits and unique shoes.
She kept many of the same friends throughout her life, particularly her best friends, Audrey Wegling and Chrissy Royer. They threw parties for any occasion, made countless cosplays for conventions, learned the dance routines to all their favorite songs, and went to many concerts together. They cherished their friendship with Courtney immensely. She brightened every moment they shared.
Courtney brought a light to our lives that can never be replaced and she will be missed, celebrated and loved forever.
