Dolores A. JOHNS

Dolores A. JOHNS, age 93, (nee Jackman), of Brooklyn, OH. Dolores was born in Carmichaels, PA, to the late Mabel and William Jackman, the second eldest of 13. She met and married George A. Johns Sr., her husband of 54 years, and they moved to Ohio where they raised their two children, George Jr. and Cathy. 

Dolores treasured her lifelong role as caregiver, whether it was for her siblings as a young girl, the students, for whom she was a crossing guard at Brooklyn City Schools for 31 years, or most importantly, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild all of whom she cherished above anything. Her family was the joy of her life and she would do anything she could for or with them, any day, any time. 

She is survived by her daughter Cathy Jokilehto (Bill), grandchildren Gina Jokilehto, and Adam Jokilehto (Karmin), and great grandson, Teddy Schigel (father Joe Schigel), siblings; Jeanie Moon, Arleigh "Buddy" Jackman, Dixie Headlee, Bonnie Powell, Carol Courie, Robert "Bobby" Jackman, Sharon Zetton, Sue Fike, & countless nieces and nephews who adored her. She is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Johns Sr., son, George A. Johns Jr., and siblings; Betty Zagoric, Alvin "Spy" Campbell, William "Billy" Jackman, and Fara Lee Sylvester.

VISITATION, SAT. MAY 30, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY A 1:00 PM FUNERAL SERVICE, ALL AT THE ZABOR FUNERAL HOME, 5680 PEARL RD. PARMA OH 44129 (BETW. SNOW & RIDGE RDS.) INTERMENT TO FOLLOW AT BROOKLYN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, CLEVELAND.
