Donald G. Kelly

Donald Gordon Kelly, age 87, passed away January 18, 2026 surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of faith and family. Donald was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Jeanne Corinne Kelly (nee Smith) with whom he shared 66 years of marriage built on deep love, partnership, and commitment. 

Family was always at the heart of Donald’s life, and he took great pride in being a loving father to Lynne, Timothy, Kathleen (David), Kimberly (Vincent), Matthew (Maria), Judith (Scott, deceased), Mark (Melissa), and Daniel (Danielle). A proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 8. A cherished brother to Walt (Mary Jean), William (Sandy) and Paulette (Leon, deceased) and uncle and cousin to many. 

Donald found immense happiness in watching his family grow and thrive. He was actively involved in raising his children deeply committed to his church community and a prominent member of Right to Life where his faith and service were evident to all who knew him. 

Donald was an avid sports enthusiast who found great enjoyment in coaching, refereeing, umpiring, and watching and discussing the games he loved. As an alumnus of St. Edward High School, he maintained a connection to the school that he valued throughout his life. He was a graduate of Cleveland State University, where he earned a degree in chemistry, and he spent many years working as an accomplished chemist. 

He is now reunited with his parents Walter and Helen Kelly (nee Kadlec), family, friends, old teammates and classmates. Donald will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong faith and his sense of community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
