FREEMAN, Dorothy V. (nee Rentfrow). Age 103. Passed away December 30, 2010 at St. Augustine Manor, Cleveland, Ohio. She lived 65 years on Manoa Ave. in Brooklyn and had been an active member of Brooklyn Senior Center. She lived at Greenbrier Retirement Center in Parma Hts. since 2006. She was born August 10, 1907 in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late Agnes Anderson and Forrest Rentfrow. In her younger days, she had worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp. and the Grand Hotel in Indiana and had cooked and baked in their restaurant on Madison Ave. after moving to Cleveland. On March 18, 1929 she married the late Ralph Freeman who preceded her in death on June 4, 1976. She was also preceded in death by three half sisters: Bertha Fisher Southwell, Georgianna Fisher Regula and Helen Rentfrow LaLone. Surviving is half sister Helen Fisher Soldan, son David (Dolores) and grandson Creighton. There will be a graveside service to be announced at a later date.
