Fr. Michael A. ONDO. Age 89. Beloved son of the late George and Anna (nee Giroski). Loving brother of Joseph (Mildred and Jean, deceased) and the following deceased; Mike (age 15), John (age 15), Paul (age 18 months), George (Veronica, deceased), Andrew (Marie), Paul (Rose), Anthony (Louise) and Ann Vetrick (Thomas, deceased). Dearest uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Loving and kind friend to many. Ordained at St. Mary's Cathedral on May 8, 1954 by Most Rev. John B. Bennett for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana where he served in various parishes as Assistant Pastor, Pastor, and Family Life Director. Father Ondo proudly served his country as a US Military Chaplain in the Navy, the Marines in Vietnam, and the Army for 24 years. He holds the rank of Colonel USAR (RET).
