Frances A. TARNOWSKI (nee Rezabek) age 88. Beloved wife of the late Stanley F. Dearest mother of Becky Newbrough (Steve), Alan J. (Kimberly A. Regan), Jill Latkovich and John (Carrie). Loving grandmother of Kristen (Ross), Brian (Kaitlyn), Michael, Joseph, Nicholas, Emily (Jacob) and Matthew. Dear great grandmother of Kylie, Caleb, Heidi, Zachary, Mia and Haley. Loving sister of James Rezabek and the late Eleanor Paradise, Agnes Chuhay and Clarence Rezabek. Dear aunt and friend to many.
Frances, a lifelong Clevelander, was born and raised in Tremont, afterward residing with her family in the near west side neighborhood of Brooklyn Centre. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950 and was a 40+ year employee of the George R. Klein News Co. She was a proud parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, serving the high school parish youth as a basketball coach and club advisor. She volunteered for many activities in her church, running the Easter candy sale and directing the monthly parish raffle. She was a scout den mother for Pack 123 and a faithful volunteer at Ronald McDonald House for many years. Her focus was on the basics: cooking, baking, sewing and crafting, all talents she developed at the Merrick House, her local youth center. Her specialties included stuffed cabbage, Swedish meatballs, pizza buns, nut curls and decorating homemade Christmas cookies. She was the owner and operator of Fran's Van, which was used to transport family and friends to events, camping, vacations and one tank trips.
