Gary W. Bernhardt

Gary W. Bernhardt, 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died on June 25, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on July 7, 1945, Gary was the son of the late John Bernhardt and the late Mary Bernhardt (nee Pesler). He was also raised with the love of his late stepmother, Josephine Bernhardt (nee Morabito). Gary was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeannie Bernhardt (nee Kmoch), brother, Robert, and step son-in-law, Chris “Duke”Binder.

His memory will be cherished forever by his children, Jeanine (Brian) Billings, Brian Bernhardt, Gary Bernhardt, Kevin Bernhardt and step-daughters, Janet (Ron) Craze and Vicky Binder. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand child. Loving brother of John (Lillian) Lombardo. Dear Uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Gary loved fishing and traveling up to Canada with his family, and to beach destinations with his wife. He loved his family and his little dog Brutus. He had an incredible work ethic, inspired by his father, a gifted engineer. Gary worked most of his life in the cable industry, starting as a Lineman with Ohio Bell before transitioning to Telerama, and then to management roles at Viacom. He will be remembered for his generosity with those he loved, his great sense of humor, and his ability to bring anyone into a conversation with his warmth and charm.

Celebration of Life to be held on July 7th, from 4:00-6:00pm with a 6pm service at Zabor Funeral Home, 5680 Pearl Road, Parma, OH 44129.
