Fran served honorably as a proud and patriotic soldier in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He spent his career in federal service, retiring after 30 years. Following his tenure at the Cleveland Defense Logistics Agency, he finished his career at NASA. He was a classification officer in Human Resources.
Fran was a news junkie, a "car guy," and an avid cyclist. He loved to travel. His fishing trips to Canada with his brothers and his son are legendary. Some of his most notable trips were with his lifelong friends Ron Slabe and Tony Scolaro. The "three amigos" traveled to Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and numerous U.S. locations.
There is a saying that goes, "We die twice – once when our bodies give out and again when our stories stop being told." For those who knew Fran, never stop telling stories about him. Always remember the good, funny man who lived life to the fullest!
