John Clayton BRADY, 85 years old, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on December 3, 2022 after suffering a stroke. John was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years Nancy Kay Brady (1942-2018), brother Robert (Junior) and sisters Frances (Penny) and Joann. He is survived by brother Charles and sisters Linda, Jeannie and Mickey. John leaves behind 5 children, Theresa, Cristina, John Jr., Rebecca and Jason. John also leaves 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way!).
John was a master carpenter, a Marine, a pretty decent bowler and his happy place was in the mountains and countryside of North Carolina and Tennessee. John was also an animal lover and he will be missed by the dogs, raccoons, birds, deer, groundhogs , and skunks that benefitted from his generous nature with them. John was a good and kind-hearted man, a sometimes tough but always loving father and grandfather (whether he told you or not) and he will be greatly missed.
A celebration of John's life is being planned for January 14, 2023 (details to come via FaceBook) followed by a private interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, next to his wife Nancy. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Cleveland Animal Protective League in John's memory.
