Joseph “Joe” Robert Schoeffler

Joseph Robert Schoeffler, also known as Joe, passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 74 at Southwest Hospice in Strongsville, Ohio. He was born on November 17, 1948, to Otto & Doris Schoeffler in Lakewood. Joe was a dedicated employee of the U.S. Post Office for almost 37 years when he retired in 2004. He worked part-time at various stores, Parma Hospital & Holy Family Church & School as the position of janitorial services.

Joe will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce Schoeffler (nee Medwetz). He was a cherished father to Adrienne Schoeffler (Kevin Hyde) and Angela Schoeffler (Dan Raber), and an incredible grandpa to Austin Schoeffler, Justin Hyde, Olivia, Alyson, and Evelyne Raber. Joe also had a close bond with his siblings, John, Jan, and Al. He was preceded in death by his brother, James. Dearest uncle, nephew, & friend to many.

In addition to his professional achievements, Joe had a passion for gardening. He found solace and joy in tending to his plants and creating beautiful landscapes. He also enjoyed woodworking, building, camping, and traveling. In his down time he enjoyed cooking & working on Sudoku. He also included the grandchildren in most of the projects.

A VISITATION will be held on Monday, November 6,  from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at The Zabor Funeral Home located at 5680 Pearl Rd., Parma, OH 44129, between Snow & Ridge Rds. On Tuesday, November 7, at 10:00 AM, THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place at Holy Family Church in Parma, followed by a procession to Holy Cross Cemetery in Brookpark. Those who wish to be part of the procession are requested to arrive at Zabor's Funeral Home at 9:00 AM. After the service at Holy Cross, all are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at Zabor's Century Home Catering Facility, 5686 Pearl Rd. to left or South of the funeral home.

Joe will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his career, and his love for gardening. May his soul rest in peace.
