Lorraine A. FERGUSON (nee Savoy), 78, entered eternal rest on August 10, 2026 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Lorraine was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 12, 1948 to the late Robert and Mary Ellen Savoy. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late John Edward Ferguson Jr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Lorraine is survived by her sister Judith Farren (Robert, deceased), brother Robert Savoy (Vickie), niece Stacey Verlie (Thomas), nephew Robert Farren (Lydia), special friends Michael and Marilyn Landy, stepchildren Theresa S. Saez, John Ferguson III (Diane), and Craig Ferguson (Laura, deceased). She was the beloved nana of Alexa, Danny, Amanda, John IV, Jacob, James and Emily (deceased), and many extended family members and close friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, bowling, singing and dancing, shopping, reading, and traveling the world with her husband and dear friends. She will be remembered for the love she shared with those around her and for the many memories she created with the people who meant the most to her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 10:00AM. Please meet at the church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lorraine at the Zabor Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 4-7 PM.
