Marcia Slaby, (née Eminian), loving wife of Raymond Slaby for over 55 years, passed away peacefully on 1/15/26, after a long-fought battle with many forms of cancer and other ailments. She was the beloved daughter of the late Gregory and Marie Eminian. Mother of Annmarie (deceased) and Greg. Adopted grandmother of Ashley and Nicole (deceased) and “mom” to many.
Marcia had a love for her family that was only slightly above her passion for sports. Whether going to the Indians, or a hockey game or at home she had a game on. Anyone who was in the arena for the game knew she was there. Many a time there were multiple games on at the house, and if you would try to talk to her it better be between innings or whistles. She was very proud of her children and was always encouraging them both to excel in their fields. Some of her most memorable times were with her children. Going to an art exhibit with her daughter, or all the baseball games and trips to Cooperstown that she had with her son. She was the best mother she knew how to be. She was always there for anyone to help with everything. Any time someone needed a hand or a ride Marcia was there. She was involved with the Cleveland Hockey Booster Club for over 60 years, and she was always the go-to person to get things done. The stories and antics from the trips and parties always made her and anyone around her laugh.
Even in the most adverse times, she would always be concerned for others above herself and offer her help or advice. She was well loved and will be missed by many..
