Michael V. DINAPOLI, age 82 of Parma, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Brooklyn Pointe, surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael was born on April 13, 1944, in Tiltonsville, Ohio to the late John and Michalene DiNapoli. Michael was a 1962 graduate of St. John Central High School in Bellaire, Ohio. He went on to pursue his higher education at St. Joseph’s College in Renesselaer, Indiana, before completing his studies at the College of Steubenville in Ohio.
After graduating, Michael began a successful career in quality control. He initially worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Armour Meats while residing in Lombard, Illinois. Michael eventually moved his family to Parma, Ohio, where he dedicated over 30 years to the grocery and food industry, working with Dinner Bell Meats, Pick-N-Pay, Finast, and Tops Supermarkets prior to his well-earned retirement.
Outside of his professional achievements, Michael had a lifelong passion for sports. He stayed active by working out and was an avid fan of football, basketball, and baseball. For many years, he gave back to local youth and amateur sports communities by serving as a dedicated referee and umpire for the Suburban Umpire Association. Michael was also a deeply devoted parishioner of St. Therese of the Child.
Above all, Michael’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sandy, with whom he shared 60 beautiful years of marriage and raised four children. As a father, he taught his children the true value of hard work, inner strength, and unconditional support. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
