Myrtle "Peggy" Russell was born on a farm close to Mount Cory, Ohio where she spent her younger years before moving with her family to Findlay, Ohio. At 19 years old, after meeting Clarence "Bud" Russell while working in a department store, they fell in love and were happily married for 44 years until Bud passed away. In addressing her grief she joined a local Bereavement Group, which eventually led her to the Parma Senior Center, where she met Robert Dedrick, a widowed World War II Veteran. This was the beginning of a 17 year romantic relationship until his death in 2016.
Peggy is remembered for the love she brought to her family and friends throughout her life. Although her roots were not of great financial wealth she emanated an inner and outer richness, which brought love to all she encountered in her life. Her kind, loving and thoughtful presence will me missed by her friends and family and all those that she met and knew in her lifetime.
