MYRTLE BURNS SHELDON (nee Mckissack). Age 100. Beloved wife of the late George Burns and the late John Sheldon. Loving mother of Barbara Solar (Jim), and Beverly Sepic (Mike) and stepmother of Lisa Hope (John), and Tammy Pasela (Jim). Beloved grandmother of Keith Solar (Theresa), Elizabeth Hershberger, Jessica Florea (Cristian), Amanda Zingale (Anthony), and Bonnie Bolin (Chuck) and great grandmother of 9 and great great grandmother of 1. Dear sister and aunt. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Side Alliance Church 3800 Bridge Ave. Cleveland, Oh 44113. Visitation Tuesday, December 19th from 3-8pm at Zabor Funeral Home 5680 Pearl Rd. Parma, Oh 44129. Funeral service Wednesday, December 20th at 10am at the funeral home. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.

Myrtle was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 5th, 1923. She graduated from West Technical High School and was an honor student. She worked for Ohio Chemical Company. She was secretary to the Vice President at Yoder Company. Following that, she worked for Allied Boiler and Iron Works for 23 years. She was treasurer of Ridge Brook P.T.A. and was a Brownie Leader. Myrtle was a member of the Forest City Chapter of Eastern Star for nearly 80 years. She was a member of the Cleveland Manx Society and the North American Manx Association. Myrtle was a member of West Side Alliance Church formerly West Side United Church of Christ. She served in the Sunday School as well as the Church Council. Myrtle enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading, and gardening. Her greatest trip was a visit to the Isle of Mann in 1983. Myrtle was a life member of the 3rd Marine Division Association and LST OHIO GROUP.
