Pete Nofel

Pete NOFEL was born in 1951 to Blanche and George Nofel. He proudly served in the US Army in Thailand and then had the good sense to marry Mary Ann (nee Oberth) who was blessed to be his wife for 46 years.

After graduating from Kent State School of Journalism he had various positions from newspaper reporter to limited-circulation business magazine editor-in-chief. He enjoyed woodworking (thank you for the porch swing), writing funny emails to his friends, playing with his dog Calliope, and volunteering at the MAPS Air Museum.

In addition to his wonderful wife, he is survived by his brothers George (Mary) and Steve (Kim). Pete will forever live in the memories of his nieces Paige Kuri (Bill) and Maggie Skuski (Rob) and his nephew George (fiancé Kim), especially for the outrageous stories he created for them when they were small and so gullible that they believed them. He is also survived by Chuck and Matt, his nephews who live out of town. "If I should live forever and all my dreams come true, my memories of love will be of you."

Arrangements entrusted to The Zabor Funeral Home, Parma. Private services are being held.
