Richard J. Kopansky

Richard J. Kopansky, 86, passed away in his sleep at his home, Friday, March 14 2025. He was born May 31, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Frances Kopansky (nee Checovich). He is preceded in death by his sisters Betty Ihnacik and Polly Drury and his son Randal J. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rosemary (nee Dooling) and his three children, Raymond (Ruth), Renee Kinnear, Rebecca Cmar (Richard) and his daughter in law Lisa Brock. He was incredibly proud of his four grandchildren, Bryan, Bianca, Kelli and Kacey and an Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Richard retired in 2002 after 42 years with the United States Post Office – AMF. Richard was proud to be a Lance Corporal in the U.S.M.C. Reserves and had hoped to live long enough to see the Logina brothers finally find the treasure on The Curse of Oak Island!  H e will be greatly missed.
