Rudolph "Rudy" V. MAZANEC, age 87, of Parma, OH. Passed on to eternal life in Valrico, FL on July 31, 2014 where he was reunited with his wife, Jean (Bronczyk) Mazanec who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents Anna and Stephen Mazanec, brothers Norbert Mazanec, Steven Mazanec, sister Marcella (Mazanec) Stanek, and his grandson Eric Mazanec. Surviving are his children, Richard (Cathy) Mazanec, Dennis (Winnie) Mazanec, and Susan (Gregg) Rice, grandchildren: Anna (Kevin) Michaels, Amy (Brian) Sarli, Bethany (Kenneth) Tucker, Kyle Mazanec, Jonathan Rice, Becky (David) O'Keefe, Brian Mazanec, Katy Rice, Kevin Mazanec, and great grandson Carter Michaels. A Navy veteran during WWII, he served on the USS Gilbert Islands in the Pacific. Following his retirement from Institutional Food Sales, he enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling, and part-time employment at Hinckley Hills Golf Course. A longtime parishioner at St. Bridget of Kildare Parish in Parma, Ohio, he was active in the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society.
