In Loving Memory of Thomas G. McLellan...

Tom, age 84, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Born on April 16, 1942, Tom lived a life defined by kindness, service, faith, and a deep devotion to his family.

Tom dedicated much of his life to helping others. As an educator in the Berea School System, he taught physics before devoting himself to serving as a crisis counselor, helping students navigate difficult times. His compassion extended beyond his career through his commitment to charitable causes and helping those in need. Whether at home or in his travels, Tom offered his time, support, and generosity, touching lives around the world.

Above all, Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He shared 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Diane (nee Wrosch), building a life grounded in love, faith, and family. He was a proud father to his daughters, Karen Eads and Kristen Janikian (Greg). His grandchildren, Mikey, Elyse, and Harrison, brought him tremendous joy. Tom was the dear brother of Joan Krass (Marvin, decd.), Michael (Diane), Mark (Terry), and the late David (Hannah). He was a dear uncle and friend to many.

Tom spent most of his married life in Strongsville, Ohio, before pursuing sunshine and adventure in The Villages, Florida. He later returned to Ohio to live at The Renaissance in Olmsted Township, where he enjoyed his final chapter.

Tom spent some of his happiest moments with his grandchildren. He loved attending their school and social events, cheering them on and being part of their lives. He delighted in taking them on adventures to Cedar Point, Universal Studios, Swings-N-Things, and other amusement parks, creating memories his family will treasure for years to come.

Sports were another lifelong passion. Tom loved coaching his daughters' T-ball team, umpiring in The Villages, and leading the dragon boat team. He was also a loyal Cleveland Guardians and Browns fan, cheering them on no matter their record. Win or lose, Tom was always in it. He also enjoyed playing pickleball, gathering with friends for men's coffee hour to discuss current events, and playing Rummikub with his family.

Kind, giving, and selfless, Tom never took others' kindness for granted. He wanted to thank every person who had helped him, whether through a grand gesture or the smallest act of kindness. He lived with a genuine appreciation for others, and his legacy lives on in the students he supported, the people he helped, the friendships he nurtured, and the family he loved so deeply.

His family will forever cherish their memories with him and the example he set through a life of kindness, service, faith, and gratitude. Tom will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
