Timothy P. Gorbett

d. March 3, 2023

Timothy P. Gorbett, age 66, passed away suddenly on March 3rd. Tim was voted Mr. Personality in high school and he definitely carried his big personality everywhere he went.   Tim was always the guy who would give his shirt off of his back for those in need.

He was a friendly guy who loved people and his family.  He went to Parma High School and graduated in 1976.  He loved his glory days of high school and playing football with his good friends.

After high school, Tim joined the Navy and went through a Technical Engineering program and then was stationed in San Diego, CA. He had so many stories about the beauty of San Diego and how much he loved it there. He was in the Navy Reserves for 8 years and got to travel to Sicily.

He was employed by Eastman Kodak for 27 years.

He was married for 23 years to Anita Quint (Kish) and together they had three daughters.  In 2014, he married Pam Davilla and they separated after a short time.

He was a loving father to his three daughters Sara Gorbett (James), Megan Thomas (Bart), and Katelyn Cristino.

He loved being part of the Indian Princesses with his girls and did many campouts, creative car races, and many other fun activities with his girls.

He always had a creative, fun idea when we were kids and would create obstacle courses, do donuts in parking lots with us in the back and he would wiggle the van down the street and we would fly around the back seat. It was good and dangerous fun that we loved. He made a wonderful breakfast on Saturdays and taught those "bad boys" aka pancakes how to swim as he drowned our pancakes with syrup.

We, his girls, and grandkids were his pride and joy. He loved us well with compliments, chocolate on Sweetest Day and Valentine's Day, and always telling us he was proud of us and that he loved us.

He was a proud grandpa of Emmalyn, Nolan, Eddie, Frankie, Cassidy, Lucas, Drew, and Carly.

He always loved being with family and leaves behind his brother Jim (Donna), Pat Gorbett (Mary Lee); and sisters, Judy Darwal (Jim), Sis Fritsche, and Maureen Kish (Dennis). Tim was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He now joins his parents Tom and Betty and his sisters Colleen, Kitty, and his brother Kevin.

He also was blessed with a treasured friend, Chuck Vargo, who never gave up on my dad and loved him to the end.

Tim will be missed by many and we are happy he is free from pain, health struggles, addiction, and can truly feel the love we all had for him.

VISITATION, SUNDAY, MARCH 10TH FROM 1:00 – 5:00 PM AT THE ZABOR FUNERAL HOME, 5680 PEARL RD. PARMA, OH 44129. (between Snow & Ridge Rds.) FUNERAL MASS, MONDAY, MARCH 11TH, 12:30 PM AT ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH.
