ANTOINE, Juanita L.

        Juanita Antoine was born on March 27, 1910 to the proud parents of Dr.Felix  Carpentier Antoine and Louise Bennett Antoine, RN. in Philadelphia, PA. (Her brother, Tamlin preceded her in death)

      She attended public schools in Philadelphia and went on to receive her B.S. Degree at the Hampton Institute. She worked at the Langley Air force Base in Hampton, VA. She then migrated to Cleveland, OH to work at (NASA) National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a computer programmer. She retired in 1972.

      Juanita has been a resident of Parma, OH for over 45 yrs. She was a faithful servant of her beloved St. Bridget Church. Her dedicated services include: being a member for 40yrs of the Third Order of St. Francis with the Blessed Giles Fraternity; Former president of St. Bridget’s Legion of Mary; Wednesday’s Scripture Class; Avilas Women’s Club. She also participated in the Senior Citizens Club. 

      Juanita is survived by her son Earle Antoine Coles and daughter in law Jean Coles Woodson, RN. Sister in law, Kathryn Antoine: Nephew, Tamlin Antoine II (Jacqueline): Niece Suzanne Antoine: Grandchildren Michael Antoine Coles, Tonya Griffin, Antoinette Coles, Joseph Eric Coles, Joe Woodson, Gerard and Gerald Woodson:  15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. And best friends Ann Rankin and Mary Pat Sloan.
